I just bought a pair of these for my home office, and I am impressed with the sound quality for their small size...They take up little space, the construction and finish looks nice and they have all the cabling to connect up to your computer, and run... Again the sound quality, for their small size is impressive...

The refurbished Edifier speakers were packaged meticulously. The speakers were in perfect condition and looked brand new. The bass was slightly weaker than expected. However, this may be because they were hooked up to an inexpensive record player.

I bought the R1280Ts along with the T-5 subwoofer. I couldn't be any happier. I run them off a blue tooth adapter for my iTunes and a RCA hook-up for the CD player. No receiver. I barely have the bass on with the T-5. As for as I'm concerned, Edifier put out two fine products for me.
